Melrose Mayham: L.A. Street Art is a stunning collection of photography documenting L. A. street art in the alleys and back ways of the once famous shopping Mecca – Melrose Avenue.
Appearing in the last decade, these epic murals, self-proclaiming tags and artful collages have transformed the back alleys into an urban fantasy known by the few who have ventured behind the shiny facades of the trendy avenue. Highly respected photographer Markus Cuff has been documenting this “outdoor art gallery” for over five years.

About the Author
Markus Cuff – artist, photographer, musician, thinker, social documentarian, nature lover and Jungian.
Markus has spent over 16 years traveling the United States and far flung Pacific Islands documenting the burgeoning tattoo phenomenon. The work that is presented here is from some of the most accomplished and revered artists in the tattoo world – though there are also other lesser known (sure to become famous very soon) artists and work interpreted within this collection.
Cuff is perhaps the most highly respected and visible photographer in the tattoo world, regularly contributing to Tattoo Magazine, Tattoo Flash, and producer of many magazine specials. He was the single largest contributor to the Rolling Stone Book Tattoo Nation maybe because of his ease and access to Rock’s royalty: Markus was the original drummer for Emmylou Harris and the cult band The Textones.
